FIFA Congress voted to restore Pakistan’s membership during its meeting in Doha, the capital of the Gulf state of Qatar, with 195 countries voting in favor of restoring Pakistan’s membership after all conditions were met, while only four countries voted. Voted against this proposal.
This is a great victory for the Normalization Committee (NC) headed by Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza and Haroon Malik.
Dr. Fehmida Mirza gave personal attention to various issues related to NC, FIFA House, and Pakistan’s FIFA membership.
Today’s victory in the FIFA Congress is a hugely positive step for the country’s football community and a testament to the hard work of Minister Dr. Fehmida. Minister Dr. Fehmida says that this is a big step towards the return of international football in the country, and this is what I wanted to do for the youth of the country as soon as possible.
It may be recalled that Pakistan is represented in the FIFA Congress by NC Chairman Haroon Malik, Shaid Khokar, and Haris Azmat who are also members of the NC.
