The ECB delegation will review the security arrangements and other measures for the England cricket team’s scheduled visit to Pakistan in September this year before the World Cup.
The delegation includes 2 cricket operations officials, a security consultant, and a representative of the players’ association.
The delegation will arrive in Karachi on Tuesday. On this occasion, a detailed briefing will be given by the concerned authorities regarding the security arrangements at the headquarters of Prof. SSU.
Later, the delegation will also go to the National Stadium, where after attending the meeting of the administration and other institutions, they will review the security arrangements in and around the ground.
The next day on July 20, the delegation will review the facilities in Multan.
While the delegation will reach Lahore on July 21, the delegation returning home on July 22 will submit its report to the ECB, in the light of which the final decision will be taken on the England cricket team’s visit to Pakistan.
It should be noted that the England cricket team is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan in the middle of September for the 7-match T20 series, along with Karachi and Lahore, Multan is also a strong candidate for hosting the T20 matches.
