Star batsman Babar Azam has broken Javed Miandad’s record of scoring 1000 Test runs in the shortest innings as a national captain.

Babar Azam completed 1000 runs in the 22nd innings of his 13th test match as a captain on the fourth day of the second test against Sri Lanka, he has so far scored 1022 runs at an average of 51.10 including 2 centuries and 7 fifties.

Saleem Malik holds the record for completing 1000 Test runs as a captain in the shortest innings for Pakistan, who accomplished this feat in 19 innings.

Former captain Misbah-ul-Haq is second in this list after completing 1000 Test runs in 21 innings, Inzamam-ul-Haq is also third in this list after completing 1000 runs in 22 Test innings like Babar Azam, Javed Miandad completed 1000 Test runs as a captain after playing 27 innings.
