National team fast bowler Hassan Ali became the third Pakistani bowler to take the fastest 50 wickets. Hassan Ali clinched the award by dismissing West Indies opener Evan Lewis in the third over of the first T20 at Bridgetown. With Lewis’ wicket, Hassan Ali became the 9th Pakistani bowler to reach this milestone in the T20 series.
Earlier, Shahid Afridi, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Imad Waseem, Mohammad Hafeez, Shadab Khan, Sohail Tanveer, and Mohammad Amir were the Pakistani bowlers who crossed this milestone.
Former fast bowler Umar Gul is at the top with 50 wickets in 36 matches. Saeed Ajmal crossed the milestone in 37 matches while Hassan Ali became the third Pakistani bowler to take the fastest 50 wickets in 38 matches.
Shadab Khan and Mohammad Aamir completed 50 wickets in 41.41 matches. Hassan Ali is also the 10th bowler to cross the milestone of 50 wickets in terms of the number of matches.
The fast bowler has so far taken 51 T20 wickets in 38 matches at an average of 21.45 and an economy rate of 8.34.
