On the revival of Pak-India cricket, Kapil Dev started speaking the language of the Modi government

In an interview with the Times of India, Kapil Dev said that when it comes to the resumption of bilateral cricket relations with Pakistan, the national interest is paramount.

He said that the cricketers of Pakistan and India want to play cricket with each other but due to the tense situation between the two countries only governments can decide by play.

I don’t think it’s important, but what government policy is more important?
The former Indian captain said that players and citizens should stand with the government.

Pakistan and India have not played a bilateral series since 2012, but the two teams have competed against each other in ICC events.

It may be recalled that India had severed bilateral cricket ties with Pakistan after the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

It should be noted that Pakistan and India will face each other in the league round of the ICCT20 World Cup on October 23 this year.
