Pakistan hosts Seniors Cricket World Cup

In the 40 Plus Seniors Cricket World Cup, famous cricketers of their time from all over the world including Pakistan will visit while the national team will be represented by Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan Muhammad Hafeez and other stars in action.

Teams from 12 out of 14 registered countries will be eligible to participate in the Seniors World Cup.

Registered teams include Pakistan, Australia, England, India, New Zealand, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Canada, USA, Zimbabwe, Wales, Namibia, and The United Arab Emirates is included.

12 teams will be selected before the final draw of the competitions before the World Cup.

On the other hand, Chairman of Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association Fawad Ijaz Khan termed it an honor for Pakistan to host the Seniors World Cup and expressed his determination to hold the mega event in a grand manner.

According to Fawad Ijaz, Seniors World Cup matches will be played on 6 different grounds in Karachi, one inning of each match will consist of 45 overs, and day and night matches will also be played.

The chairman said that the semi-finals and finals would be telecast live, adding that the former Test and international cricketers over 40 years of age would add to the excitement of the event.
