Rawalpindi Test Australia scored 459 runs against Pakistan

In the first innings of the first Test of the ongoing series in Olpandi, the Australian team failed to end the lead of Pakistan and the entire team was bowled out for 459 runs.

On the last day of the Test, Australia started the remaining innings at 449 for 7, but the visitors returned to the pavilion with just 10 runs added. Australian opener Usman Khawaja stood out with 97 runs.

For Pakistan, spinner Noman Ali took the most 6 wickets. Shaheen Shah Afridi got two wickets while Sajid Khan and Naseem Shah got one wicket each.

Fourth day

The fourth day’s play could not start in the morning due to last night’s continuous rain in Rawalpindi.

The umpires inspected the ground in the morning and decided to start the game at one o’clock in the afternoon.

On the fourth day of the game, Australia started their first incomplete innings with 271 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Marnos Luboshen scored 90 runs and fell victim to Shaheen Afridi while Steve Smith scored 78 runs. Towards the end of the day, Pakistani bowlers played aggressively and took 3 wickets early. Cameron Green (48), Travis Head (8), and Alex Carey (19) were all out.
