The Australian cricket team is all set to tour Pakistan in March this year. This will be their first tour of Pakistan since 1998. The series is of great importance to both countries.
New Zealand and England last year. Pakistan wants to reduce the impact of the tour on the complete revival of international cricket in the country.
On the other hand, Australia also needs to support other Test nations and give something back to the cricketing world.
“This is a very important tour in which our team has to play 3 Test matches,” said Greenberg, chief executive of the Australian Cricketers’ Association.
As Australians, it is our duty to ensure that international cricket continues on a large scale, we cannot simply expect teams from around the world to tour Australia. Nor can we make that kind of commitment to others.
Earlier, captain Pat Cummins had urged all players to be aware of the importance of the tour.
